In a rapidly evolving business landscape, location data is critical for businesses, enabling them to make informed decisions and unlock new growth opportunities. For example, targeting marketing campaigns at a particular city or engaging gamers through local leaderboards.
Developed on the Amazon Web Services architecture, the AddLocations API provides a simple solution for the generation of a geographical location hierarchy from even incomplete address data. All locations have an unique identifier linked to their parent location, to allow a straightforward analysis of data from a global down to a local level. The results are returned in JSON format.
The following countries are currently available.
United States, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, France,
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, India, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain
Please always add the country at the end of your address text input and note that street names are not needed as they will never be returned in the hierarchy of locations.
NB: The first call may be slow due to caching.
You can contact us at contact@addlocations.com to leave any comments or if you find any anomalies in the returned data for any of the countries available.
If you are interested in trying it for a larger volume of calls using a REST API key, please email us at the email address above.
